Women Moving Women

Paradigm President and CEO Kathy Gregory spearheaded and founded the first women’s-only industry golf tournament in 2008. The Ontario Mortgage Industry Ladies Charity Golf Tournament donates all proceeds to the Women Moving Women Campaign which funds economic development programs for women across Canada.

Children's Aid Foundation (Toronto) and Salvation Army (Vancouver) Surrogate Santa Program

Over Christmastime, donations from Paradigm employees go towards purchasing Christmas dinner and Christmas gifts for three families in need in Toronto and Vancouver.

Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – CIBC Run for the Cure

Paradigm employees participate in the annual CIBC Run for the Cure Campaign. In 2009 alone, participants in Toronto, Barrie and Vancouver raised over $4,000 dollars.

Rotman School of Business

MB students from the Rotman School of Business in the University of Toronto have completed case studies at Paradigm, with a focus on our company’s overall organizational effectiveness. The team of MBA students interviewed members of the Senior Leadership Team and were informed about Paradigm’s Performance Management process.

Habitat for Humanity, 2009

Paradigm collaborated and participated in a joint build, working with Genworth Financial towards eliminating poverty housing in Canada.

THE “Toronto’s Had Enough” Rally

As active members of their community, Paradigm employees became involved in public advocacy in the summer of 2009 when city workers went on strike. Employees created and organized “THE” (Toronto’s Had Enough) Rally. A compelling message was delivered through a public rally at city hall that was covered by Toronto press, TV, radio and newspapers.

Paradigm was a platinum sponsor for biathlon Olympian Megan Imrie and cheered her on during the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.

Haiti Earthquake Relief, January 2010

On January 12, 2010, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake devastated the island of Haiti. The death toll was estimated at 200,000, another 250,000 people in need of urgent aid, and 3.0 million people were in need of emergency assistance. Paradigm united with MERIX Financial to raise awareness and collect donations in order to support the relief efforts in Haiti.

Paradigm Flood Relief Fundraiser for Pakistan, August 2010

Pakistan was in crisis as floods devastated 20 million people across 70 per cent of the country. Paradigm Quest Inc. pledged to match all flood relief money raised by its employees.   

‘Movember’ Participation

During the month of November, Paradigm employees grow moustaches to raise awareness and make donations towards the Movember Foundation, a men’s health initiative that deals specifically with prostate cancer.  ‘Movember’ aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths.

Environmental Leadership

The servicing of mortgages is a very paper intensive financial proves. To combat its ecological footprint, Paradigm purchased and delivered a system whereby mortgage processes are now virtually paperless. Paradigm also offers an annual employee subsidy which can be used towards public transit, a green form of transportation. Paradigm offices participate in our building’s E-Waste recycling program by diverting 300kg of electronic waste from local landfills.
